Is a 10-week program, where women from all over Queensland can Zoom in to learn more about and experience mindfulness for themselves. Each week, we gather from 11-11:45am in a private online group, via the Zoom platform. In that 45 minutes, we spend some time “checking-in”, learning a bit about a mindfulness technique and then practising altogether, in the privacy of your own home. This group is co-facilitated by a mindfulness coach and one of WHQ’s amazing social work counsellors, so you can feel fully supported as you move through this journey towards a more mindful life. All you need is an internet connection and a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone.
Please note: As this is a 10-week group, if you cannot see a mindfulness group on the online booking calendar, we may be right in the middle of running this program. Please check the website at a later date to book yourself in for an upcoming group.
Yoga at Your Place
Is Women’s Health Queensland’s first ever online yoga classes, delivered by a qualified yoga instructor, weekly via Zoom. Classes run every Monday from 2-3pm. These classes are for all women – from complete beginner to advanced! For this reason, classes are taught using a gentle hatha-vinyasa style, where we focus on connecting breath with movement. In the same way you would attend a yoga studio in person, each week you are able to book yourself into the yoga class via the online booking calendar below. Once you book in and have signed the required Confidentiality Agreement, you will be sent a link to the private Zoom group for the date you booked in for.
Please note: bookings close 1 hour BEFORE the class for that week, so if you’re hoping to attend the class, please make sure you book in nice and early.
Women’s Health Queensland have a resident yoga teacher and nutritionist, view the videos below or head over to our Facebook or Instagram for live meditation and yoga classes and keep an eye out for nutritional content.
