Women’s Health Queensland offers 100% free community education programs and classes. Read about our current classes and book online below.

Mindfulness 8-Week Program

Mindful Fridays is a program offered to a diversity of women who want to learn more about mindfulness and start to experience more calm, peace and resilience for themselves, in their daily lives. Mindful Fridays will be held every Friday from 11am to 12pm for 8 weeks. These groups are co-facilitated by WHQ’s mindfulness coach and one of our amazing Women’s Health and Well-being Counsellors, so you can feel fully supported as you move through this journey towards a more mindful life. Simply book yourself in to the Mindful Fridays group in the calendar below, complete the Confidentiality Form and you’re all set to join us for the full 8 weeks!

Once you book we will provide you with full details. If you have any questions before that please do not hesitate to contact us to ask about the Mindfulness Programs.

Please note: As this is an 8-week group, if you cannot see a mindfulness group on the online booking calendar, we may be right in the middle of running this program. Please check the website at a later date to book yourself in for an upcoming group. If you are joining us via Zoom you just need internet connection and a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone.

Yoga at Your Place

Yoga at Your Place is a weekly, online, ‘drop-in’ yoga class, delivered by our qualified yoga instructor, via Zoom. Classes run every Monday from 1-2:10pm. These classes are for all women – from complete beginner to advanced! Classes are taught using a gentle, hatha-vinyasa style, where we focus on connecting breath with movement. In the same way you would attend a yoga studio in person, each week you are able to book yourself in via the online booking calendar below. Once you book in and have signed the required Confidentiality Agreement, you will be sent a link to the private Zoom group for the date you booked in for.

Please note: bookings close 1 hour BEFORE the class for that week, so if you’re hoping to attend the class, please make sure you book in nice and early.

Online Childbirth Preparation Classes

These classes are designed as a one-off 3-hour session covering topics similar to a hospital-based antenatal class. You’ll get all the info you need to feel knowledgeable and empowered as you journey through pregnancy and birth.

Classes are facilitated by one of our experienced, registered midwives and run on the Zoom platform which can be accessed on a phone, tablet, laptop or computer for free.

These classes are will be a private and closed group of no more than 10 women – partners welcome.

*Please note that Childbirth Preparation classes have a capped number of participants. We invite birth partners to attend these classes but they MUST book their own spot each class. This applies even if the birth partner will be watching and interacting from the same device as yourself.
